This is an amazing collabo. Two of the best bands of 2008 link up to create smooth RnB tunes in the ’09. Just listen…

Lady Fafi
This is a post I put on HellaJazzy (www.hellajazzy.com) a week ago. I am trying hard not to double post for those of you who read both, but I love this artist so much right now in my life that I couldn’t help it. Forgive me.

If I were a graffiti head, and from France, I would want to be this girl right here. Fafi, an extremely talented criminal (according to the Poe Poe), has been a veteran to the street art game since Warren G was Regulating. I don’t know if graffiti is even cool anymore-but shawty’s game is tight. She has worked with Sony, Adidas, LeSportsac, MAC cosmetics, and Lily Allen.
Check her work on the walls of a city near you (metropolis’s only, of course)-or just do what’s easy and peep her website. CLICK HERE

Mixtape Monday!?-Free Download
There were quite a few occurrences in my travels this weekend that involved the above rapper in conversation. After letting him marinate on my ipod today at work I got to thinking…I have to represent for my city. Wale is the next big thing to come out of the DC music scene…and also one of my personal favorite artists ever, yes, I said it. This mixtape is always on my playlist. Its really old but really good.
I heard through the grapevine that Wale is coming out with a fresh mixtape tomorrow….consider this post pent up anticipation.

The Littles-Mojizu
Some really dorky part of me has always been into character design. I guess its a throwback to the Disney days and my childhood. My obsession with the Nightmare Before Christmas and stop motion animation hasn’t helped the addiction much either.
With the emergence of Kaws, Kid Robot, and other toy designers, contemporary character design has gotten a big up’d recently.
Note-I was told a ways back to see the Kaws art exhibit in NYC-its supposed to be insane! I’ve still been slacking on going. Is it even still showing?
In the meantime, in my quest to see the world from home I came across Mojizu (www.mojizu.com). Anyone who calls themselves creative can be a character designer on this site. There were a few artists who made their characters out of what looked like popsicle sticks and clay.
The illest part–each of the thousands of characters posted on this website has a personality. I’m feeling like these little guys can be used for something more productive than just eye candy–tattoo inspiration anyone?
I swear you can get lost on this site for hours. Correction, I have gotten lost on this site for hours. So good….

And it was written…

me.
Hey Young World-I recently started contributing on my homey’s blog www.hellajazzy.com. As cool as it was to be asked to share my opinions on ish. There is a lot I can’t post on there though. Not that it isn’t a dope site-just that I’m a little more ecclectic than the perameters of his blog.
So this is a spin-off–a more inclusive type jumpoff. The things I love hopefully you love. A little bit of me, some music, some fashion, some culture-I’m thinking a recipe for success…if not, just something to do when you are bored and something for me to do when I am.
